Dr Pepper is a LOVER - total lap cat in your face sleep with you, cuddler, rub in your face love bug. I've NEVER had a cat as affectionate as this guy. He's a talker and a player and ADORES kittens - he is so playful and has 1 favorite string toy which is really a string from a pair of pajamas and he carries it around the house for you to play with him. HIS only issue is that he seems to have a permanent allergy or cold that will not go away so you would have to deal with sneezing and runny nose issues (well he has to deal with it). He's been tested negative for feline leukemia and aids and he's been treated for colds, even with antibiotic shots but nothing works. He is best with a kitten or one of the 2 young ones I have here already. Stetson or Kit Kat. - He sleeps with both of them and both Stetson and Kit Kat suck on his long hair and knead him. Up to date on vaccines, including rabies. NOW for the rest of his story....Dr Pepper was originally Durango which is a cool name too! I was petting this other black long haired cat that I really liked and when the staff member took him/her? out this cat did NOT like kittens that were loose so we put that one back and I started petting Durango and asked to let him out. As soon as he got out he went into a cubby hole to hide so I sat down on the floor and pulled him out and he immediately got into my lap and starting purring and pawing at me and putting his face in mine, he was trying so hard to get up on my chest and face and it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen, right after that, Stetson jumped in my lap with the two of us and they started grooming each other and it was a love fest. I had to get them both. The love fest hasn't stopped although I'm not sure he would be this way with anyone but me. They had written down that he might be a possible barn cat, he wasn't really that friendly with anyone else so...if that happens, that he wasn't as affectionate with a new adopter then he can be returned to me for an exchange or refund.
