JOB PURPOSE: Function as the estimating arm of our CO Springs, CO, and other bidding efforts as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Including but not limited to): -Prepare cost estimates from plans and specifications (to include Corps of Engineers documentation). -Perform quantity take offs. -Buy out contracts after award (purchase orders and subcontracts). -Lead and provide direction to other support staff as appropriate and necessary. -Must take a leadership role in developing responsible cost estimates. -All other tasks as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: -BBA / BS Degree (technical degree preferred) or equivalent experience. -MS / MA Degree Preferred. EXPERIENCE: -4+ years experience as an estimator in the commercial construction industry. -Excellent verbal/written communications skill and ability to positively influence people across all functional areas of an organization. -Federal/Military construction estimating with RS Means preferred. TECHNICAL SKILLS: -Proficient with MS Office, E4Clicks, RS Means WORKING CONDITIONS: -General office environment and field inspections. DECISION MAKING: -Limited authority.
