Description
Whiskers is a 9 month old (1 of 4) male rat that is friendly and loves to be pet, especially around the ears and back area. Whiskers is a hooded rat gray head and gray spots on back. (Whiskers is the one under the blankie) Loves pretty much all kinds of foods, especially peas! They have a special brand of food Tekland Harland - I can give you information on where to get these rat blocks. They are the favorite type of good food for them. LOVES cereals for sure - flakes, cheerios that kind, not the sugary kind. Also loves baked potato (including the skin)/toast/coconut (No raw potato - bad for them) Whiskers does bite when feels threatened. He is the one that will usually bite or leap at or scratch a cat if the cat's tail or face is too close to the cage (usually the cat is pawing or playing with him) never drew blood except for there was a mysterious scratch on Frodo's nose one time that I suspect was Whiskers work because they would play (I think) around the cage with each other. I got bit the other day because Whiskers was all excited running in his new box in his newly cleaned cage and I put another big item in while he was right there and I guess he thought I was attacking him and bit my hand. Would recommend cleaning top part - then putting them in the top while you clean the bottom if you go for the foursome and take the cage. There will be a deal and a possible cage (ferret cage very large) if you adopt all 4 plus a rat book and any leftover supplies I might have. THEY need to go to a home where they can actually get out and in a room to play with their owner from time to time. I have too many cats and this makes it difficult for me to do this. The cage is cleaned 1x a week. Adoption fee - $15.00 (For all 4 - $40.00 - for all 4 plus cage and goodies - $70.00) Goodies includes book on rat care/leftover food/blankets/bowls/litter/2 hammocks/2 litterboxes/ladder/bridge/hideaway cat cover if wanted as well.
